You will be cordially invited by our representative on your arrival at the Cochin Airport/Railway station. From there proceed to Munnar (140 Kms – 4 Hrs). It is about a 4 hours of delightful journey Throughout the journey enjoy beautiful streams small water falls like Vallara and Cheeyappara water falls, Rubber, Pepper, Cardamom and Tea plantations and thick forests. On arrival at Munnar, check into Hotel. Enjoy the cool breeze, mist and fog of the Queen of the Southern Hill stations in Kerala. You may go to visit the local shops today in the evening. Overnight stay at the hotel.
After breakfast from hotel, go for a sightseeing tour of Munnar and enjoy the serene views of Munnar, famous for its tea plantations, and Eravikulam National Park to view the rich flora and fauna (Eravikulam National Park is shut from 15 Jan to 15 Mar; during these dates Park visit cannot be done but all other sightseeing shall be provided as per itinerary). Munnar has the highest peak in South India, Anamudi measuring 2695 meters. This hill station in Kerala is famous for its lush green slopes covered with tea and spice plantations. Munnar's greenery and quiet ambience provides a relaxing getaway for a traveller in Kerala. Tourists can enjoy nature walks and treks along the hill slopes, as well as adventure activities. The spice plantations and spice markets - where pepper, vanilla and cashew are sold are an interesting tour. If you're a wildlife enthusiast, the sight of the rare Nilgiri Tahr, seen in these hills, is an additional tourist attraction in Munnar. In the afternoon, visit the Mattupetty Lake & Dam and Echo Point, famous for its echo phenomenon. In the evening, return to your hotel and sleep comfortably
After early breakfast, check out of the hotel and drive to Thekkady. On arrival, check-in to the hotel. Later in the afternoon, proceed for a boat cruise through the Periyar Lake in Thekkady, a soul stirring tour with cool breeze. Thekkady is synonymous with wildlife and nature treks. During the cruise you may stopover and watch the wild animals in their natural habitat. Later in the evening, get transferred to the theatre to experience a traditional Kathakali performance (non ac theatre). You may choose to shop (on your own) in the evening if time permits. Return to your hotel by the evening which you may spend at your leisure. Spend the night in hotel.
After breakfast check out from the hotel and drive to Cochin Airport (90 km– 2.5 Hours drive) for onward journey. In between go for a quick sightseeing tour of Fort Kochi, covering Dutch Palace, Jewish Synagogue, St.Francis Church, Chinese fishing nets, Marine Drive, MG road & family Shopping depends on the time available.
